Fear by Fr Stefan

Fear

What is Fear?

Fear is a little boy in a small room with no window

Fear is a little boy in a small room with a locked door

Fear is a little boy in a small room with five locks on the locked door

At the age of 6 the little boy hides in a corner

At the age of 7 little boy walks up to the locked door

The little boy sits and looks at the locked door for 30 years

The young man knocks on the door

The Young man unlocks the 5 locks

The Young man opens the door ever so slightly inch or so

The Young man sits and looks at the door for 30 years

The old man opens the doors ever so slightly

From the outside a balloon comes into the room

The old man opens the door fully and enters into a party

The old man Feels like a little boy again

  1. Wow! Is this what we do? Maybe so. I wonder why the little boy waits 30 years? Knocking reveals 5 locks. The party must be overwhelming for the young man to wait 30 years! Is this what fear does to us? Some fear is protective. Some fear is proper–like fear of the Lord
