Mercy is Like a Fresh, New, Cotton Scented Sheets

Today I was praying with this man and the Holy Spirit gave me an image of Jesus putting a fresh new set of sheets on a bed. So often we hear the phrase you made your bed now you have to sleep in it. This phrase has a negative emphasis meaning you have to live with your own mistakes and their consequences.
Yes, it is true that we make our bed and now we have to sleep in it. But Jesus remakes the bed. He gives us a fresh new mattress, fluffy pillow, cozy comforter, and to top it off the sheets that he put on our bed are scented sheets.
Jesus is putting a fresh, new, cotton, scented sheets on your bed.
Yes, you have to sleep in the bed that we made, But Jesus has given you, new, cotton, fresh, scented sheets, so sleep well.

  1. It was a pleasure to read your blog for today. I will think of this message every time I change the sheets. Thank you.
